Just Salad is a fast casual concept with a mission to make everyday health and everyday sustainability possible.
Empowering customers to eat with purpose, Just Salad is home to the world’s largest restaurant reusable program and the first U.S. restaurant chain to carbon label its menu. The company was founded in 2006 in New York City and has across 50 locations in New York, New Jersey, Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina, as well as 6 locations in Dubai.
Just Salad was an early adopter of direct online ordering, and direct online ordering continues to represent one of its most valuable drivers of revenue & guest loyalty in both urban and suburban markets. They are on track to double their footprint with expansion in new and existing markets.
“Some of our most loyal guests are also our busiest, and expect a healthy, crave-able, and delicious meal in-store or via delivery in under 30 minutes,'' Jason Rotter, Franchising & Operational Services Partner at Just Salad.
With Otter in place, Just Salad is able to automate order acceptance and printing for thousands of native and third party orders daily. With Otter, Just Salad:
Since partnering with Otter, Just Salad realized an major reduction in toner and copy paper usage in the first year using Otters compact thermal printers, which require no ink – resulting in $90k in cost savings.
“I was impressed how quickly the Otter team was rolling out integrations, how closely they worked with me to ensure I was set up with a dedicated enterprise account advisor, and the team’s willingness to provide us with an extended trial period to validate their solution before committing to full scale roll out. Otter delivered,” Jason Rotter, Franchising & Operational Services Partner at Just Salad.
One of the services Just Salad was interested to try was Club Feast, an order-in-advance subscription delivery platform that uses a scheduled and batched order model to drive efficiencies and savings.
Club Feast’s order-ahead model means restaurants receive printed order details in advance using Otter’s auto accept/auto print capability. This provides teams with ample time to execute at the start of each day. Drivers pick up all of the lunch and/or dinner orders at once, feeding more diners with fewer individual trips by targeting diners closest to the store – thus reducing its overall carbon footprint.
“Otter has become an integral part of our business and we’re thrilled to grow alongside them during our expansion” said Rotter.
