What delivery services does Otter Dashboard support?

Otter Dashboard setup is fast! You can access the tool soon after signing up as long as we have received the required initial information for set up.

How long does it take to set up Otter Dashboard?

No hardware is required. You can access the Otter Dashboard website tool through a laptop, tablet, or mobile phone at manager.tryotter.com.

Does Otter Dashboard require any hardware?

With one tablet and optional printer, Order Manager links all of your delivery services to give you complete control of your online ordering business. From our connected system you can automatically accept orders from all of your delivery services, track and monitor the status of everything at a glance, pause and unpause your stores, remove menu items when you’ve run out of ingredients, update your store hours, and measure the success of your online ordering business with comprehensive reporting and insights.

We support two primary ways of using our software:

1. It’s important for your orders to flow through your POS system

In this case, we provide a tablet that aggregates all of your online ordering services so you have a single place to accept and view your incoming orders. Most restaurants use us to queue up orders and manage getting them into their POS system.

2. You don’t care much for your POS system

In this case, we provide a tablet as well as a printer. You can place the printer near your cooks in the kitchen and they can fire orders based on the printed tickets. You’ll also get a tablet so you have a way to keep an eye on all of your in-flight orders.

Does Order Manager support different ways of working?

Your subscription comes with unlimited orders. There are no per-order fees.

Does Order Manager charge for every processed order?

We support all major online food ordering services including Uber Eats, DoorDash and HungryPanda. We’re adding more every day, so check out our Integrations page for more information.

How long does it take to receive the tablet and / or printer?

Feel free to keep them charged and stowed away should you ever need them again. But maybe the bigger question is… what are you going to do with all of that newly recovered counter space?!

What should I do with all of the tablets that my online food ordering services sent me?

Absolutely. New call-in or walk-up orders? You can create an order for delivery or customer pickup right from Order Manager.

Otter lets you pause storefronts to temporarily disable ordering. All set? Unpause with a tap. If you’re only out of an ingredient or two, you can adjust item availability to temporarily remove them from your online menus across platforms.

How do I temporarily pause my store or a menu item?

Once you integrate your delivery services with Otter, any changes you make to your menu are seamlessly pushed out to all platforms, ensuring consistency that helps your customers order with confidence.

How does Otter’s menu management solution sync across all delivery apps?

Select the items you’d like to update. Mark them as either Available, Unavailable today, or Unavailable indefinitely. Click Publish to update your menu across all your delivery services.

Yes—Go to your Items tab and click Edit item. Click on Mixed availability and select one or multiple locations, then hit Publish.

Can I delete an item from one menu but save it on another?

A modifier is what you use to add extra items to an order. For example, fries and drinks are typical modifiers to a burger order.

Promotions roll out on a daily basis and are chosen based on consumer trends within a restaurant’s location. They get smarter over time as they learn your restaurant’s customer base and analyse what’s been most effective in order to produce high-performing, personalised restaurant marketing campaigns.

Growth mode selects promotions that will maximise your total order volume. This is the most aggressive mode, focusing on bringing in new customers as well as offering promotions with larger discounts.

Balanced mode selects promotions that provide customers with the incentive to order while keeping profit margins in mind. This mode is less aggressive, maximising take home pay while still increasing order volume.


Custom mode provides additional control over your promotion strategy, allowing you to select the type of promotions you want to run as well as the aggression level.

What’s the difference between Growth, Balanced, and Custom modes?

Promoted sales, payout, discounts, ROI, total order volume, promotion types, store ranking, and average order volume.

No, you can update your promotion strategy at any time to compare effectiveness and choose the best setup that works for your business.
