What’s new: Social is a new add-on that lets you manage all your restaurant’s social accounts in one place. Create, localize, publish, and analyze your posts across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Google. It comes with a unified inbox and calendar where you can manage all your posts and respond to individual messages from all of your accounts. An AI assistant also helps you create posts 90% faster.

Why it matters: When you’re busy staying on top of your operations, managing your social media accounts can take a lot of time that you don’t always have. With Social, you’ll be able to schedule posts that go out to all or some of your accounts without needing to log in to each. You also won’t have to spend hours crafting the perfect post with the built-in AI assistant to help you create it. By having an aggregated view of all your accounts in one calendar with one inbox, it will be easier to keep track of all your posts and customers’ inquiries and feedback.

Menus: New Edit Pricing UI

What’s new: A new, more intuitive interface for editing your menu items’ price. Clearly see differences between default prices and overrides as well as pricing rules. You can now also set prices by fulfillment mode per channel. Follow what’s changed in this guide.

Why it matters: Now that pricing by fulfillment mode and channel are in one place, it will be faster and easier for you to navigate item price updates in the Menus app as well as easier to train your new managers.

Menus: Bulk Menu Editor

What’s new: A new tool in Menus allows you to update item prices in bulk. You can export your entire menu in .xlsx format, edit the items directly, and import it back as .xlsx to Otter. Just go to the Items tab in the Menus app.  See a step-by-step guide here.

Why it matters: Maintaining your menu can be difficult when you have a large menu and multiple variations across different stores. Large restaurant brands can spend a lot of time just updating their prices. With the new bulk menu editor, making price changes can now be done in a fraction of the time and with greater accuracy.

Online Ordering and Kiosks: Default Modifiers

What’s new: You can now set default modifiers for Otter Kiosk and Online Ordering. These modifiers will be preselected whenever a customer orders the item associated with them. . Update your modifiers in the Menus app to enable the feature.

Why it matters: Speed up order taking, reduce errors, and keep things consistent across every shift with default modifiers.
